ALLGEMEINE INFORMATIONEN

Lasting from the XIth and XIIh centuries, this former village grocery shop has been transformed into a 3 stars hotel. You will find a great originality in the conception of the bedrooms because each of them takes you to another country, especially the one located on the garden level with a vaulted ceiling : the medieval magic while enjoying today’s comfort. The rooms on the back benefit from an extraordinary view on the surrounding countryside. All the bedrooms offer individual air conditioning.

DIE UMGEBUNG

Belvès is classified among the most beautiful villages of France, and is a medieval village from the 11th century, known as the '7 belltowers village'. You can visit the cave dwellings, the Castrum, and the covered market with the chain of the pillory on one of its 23 pillars. Each Wednesday evening, from the end of June till the beginning of September, there is a producers' dinner at the covered market place. Each Saturday there is a market. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning during July and August, make a trip to local producers on their farms (cheese, goose liver, aso) and end with a picnic on the spot. The Belvès 100 km event takes place annually, usually by the end of April. In July there is the Bodega, the local rugby club's annual festival, with visual and food-related activities, without forgetting the street bands. In August you could visit the Belvès medieval fair, where there will be costumes and animations on show. In the surrounding area, you can visit Beynac, Le Bugue, Castelnaud, Domme, Les Eyzies, Monpazier, La Roque Gageac and Sarlat.
